To keep the lights on, the staff rents the capsules to local vendors: a Sbarro, a Flat Earth Society chapter. It's a love letter to the American civic idea that doesn't quite make it — infrastructure of ambition repurposed for the mundane.
Framed with deadpan symmetry, the pilot explores the specific melancholy of a broken fiscal promise. Produced in a hybrid pipeline, each shot was concepted in script, generated from locked references for strict character consistency, then color-graded and sound-designed in a traditional timeline. The joke isn't the technology. The joke is the Sbarro.
